What to Expect: April 2019

What to Expect: April 2019

Hello everyone! The blog has officially been up and running consistently for 3 months, and it’s been incredible watching things grow. Every single one of you contribute to this blog in your own way, whether just viewing or commenting, so I wanted to start the month of April off by sharing a few facts about the blog and then outline the month ahead. Let’s see what new patterns and tutorials are posting this month!

First… A Look at How the Blog has Grown this Year!

  • 20 posts/ articles written for the year… that’s over half of the content available on the website!
  • There’s already been 9 free patterns released for the year! Here’s the top three in popularity so far:
  • There have been over 9,900 unique visitors this year! I’m beyond amazed by this figure- thank you, thank you!
  • Social Media has been an adventure. For the first time in my life, I hash-tagged and took a deep look at the photos I take (hopefully you’ve noticed a difference!)
  • One of the ways I pay to keep the website running is by selling finished items on Etsy. So far, I have sold over 150 coasters! The website now has the funds to keep the domain and self-hosting active for the next two years, which is super exciting!

Here’s the Awesome Things to Look Forward to in the Month of April:

In March, I started a mini series on all things yarn. This will be finished up in the month of April- choosing the perfect color for your project, and decoding label information for your fiber (I think some of us know how important the dye lot information can be!).

Decorations for Easter are so cute, and I haven’t shared any yet! Be on the look out for four NEW crochet coaster patterns for Easter.

I haven’t shown my nerdy side too much yet… but I am obsessed with Pokemon and Star Wars. Be prepared for one pattern related to this too!

And last but not least, I am slowly filling in the crochet tutorials section of the blog. I plan to add in single crochet, double crochet, and front post double crochet to the line up of tutorials.

Ways You Can Help

One of my favorite parts of the crafting community is how genuine and helpful everyone can be. Everyone is usually extremely supportive of each other and just enjoying seeing others make beautiful things.

The way you can help is simple: subscribe for email updates and visit the site! If you truly love a post, share posts and patterns you find interesting with your friends.

Are You As Excited As I am for April!?

This is all that I can commit to in the month of April, as I am starting a new job and expect things to get busy and hectic over the coming weeks. However, there will be a few surprises this month as well! Let me know in the comments if you have suggestions on things you would like to learn or different patterns you would like to see! Again, thanks to each and every one of you for helping this website grow- I can’t wait to continue the journey together.
