Pattern Collection: Valentine’s Day Crochet Patterns

This pattern collection is a list of free Valentine’s day crochet patterns focused on the upcoming holiday. Valentine’s Day is a great time for crafting. What’s better than a handmade item for those that you love and appreciate? The heading/ title is linked to the free pattern. Enjoy!

Little Heart Coaster

This pattern was recently posted on the blog (link here), but this is a great, simple way to decorate for Valentine’s. This also can be completed quickly and would be a well appreciated gift to a teacher, or for any person that works in an office environment.

Easy Crochet Valentine’s Day Basket

Check out this cute little basket! In addition to being a nice storage for treats and candy, I can also see this as a way to decorate the entryway of a home, or maybe place it in the bathroom with some specialty soaps or to hold ear swabs. Remove the handle, and you have an adorable basket that can be used for a lot of different things.

Pop Heart Pattern

I love the way this heart shape looks! This looks nice and soft. When working this pattern, consider doubling the yarn and using a larger crochet hook. This would be a beautiful small accent pillow for the living room or bedroom.

Circle of Love Afghan

I don’t think much needs to be said about the functionality of a blanket- this one is offered for free by Moogly, and will definitely be a conversation starter wherever it is displayed.

Crochet Valentine Heart Earflap Hat

Hearts are a unique way to decorate a hat. I love this! The pattern is written for a child, but this should be easy to customize and scale up to adult sizes.

The Love Nest

Okay… I know I said this collection is focused on functional Valentine’s themed patterns. Seriously, though, how amazing are these two little love birds?

Valentine’s Day Crocheted Box of Chocolates

This box of chocolates is perfect for just about anyone: no need to worry about allergies, dieting, or what terrifying fillings may be inside the chocolate. I can see this being a centerpiece, a pin cushion, and maybe even a fun collection of cat toys for the cat lover in your life!

Red Valentine Roses

Have you ever made crochet flowers? This is on my list of things to try. Valentine’s Day is a perfect time to try to make flowers and create a bouquet that lasts a lifetime instead of just a few days.

Crochet Lips Hair Clip

Lips! Usually hair clips or other hair accessories are bows, but this is a sassy twist. I like the creativity of this pattern and think this would be a fun accessory to wear in February.

I Love Scraps Afghan

This lovely free pattern creates an afghan that can be proudly displayed year round. Once you learn how this stitch works, the possibilities to translate this into other projects are endless! This hearts pattern would be great for hats, a scarf, or even a bag.
